The Heights Technical College is planned to open in 2026. 

Co-located and run in conjunction with The Heights School, students at the technical college can get a head start to a career in 1 of 4 in-demand industry specialisations:

  • Advanced manufacturing and engineering
  • Aeroskills (aviation maintenance)
  • Building and construction
  • Early childhood and education.

The technical college will support students in years 10 to 12 to complete their SACE while undertaking vocational education and training (VET) in state-of-the-art specialist facilities.

Industry training programs

To create and deliver the industry training programs we'll work with employer partners and registered training organisations (RTOs). This will help students develop the skills and knowledge that employers actually need.

Each industry training program will cover:

  • technical skills
  • core skills and capabilities
  • work experience and workplace learning
  • employability skills
  • career education
  • student support and mentoring.

You’ll study VET qualifications, complete your SACE and gain real-life work experience opportunities and mentorship.

  • replicate the look, feel and flow of industry workplace environments
  • create maximum flexibility for the use of practical spaces on a day-to-day basis.
