Findon Technical College students fast-track to university
Starting next year, Findon Technical College students can complete their first year of specific degrees at Flinders University while in year 12, fast-tracking their pathway into key career opportunities.
Students who qualify in specific areas, will be able to start their degree while in year 12 at the technical college, then complete their studies at Flinders University, potentially fast-tracking the start of their career as an early childhood educator, nurse, allied health professional or engineer.
A range of university courses are included in the arrangement including the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Bachelor of Early Childhood Education – either (Birth to 8) or (Birth to 5). Pathways into nursing and allied health degrees including social work, speech pathology, occupational therapy and physiotherapy will also be offered.
To qualify, students must complete their SACE in year 11 and Foundation Studies with Flinders. They will then have guaranteed university entry as year 12 students without needing an ATAR.
The bachelor courses will be offered online or via hybrid delivery at Flinders city campus or in the technical college by Flinders University and students will study up to eight topics in 2025.
